US$88-million hotel project commenced in Ha Long Bay

Project of Double Tree by Hilton Hạ Long Bay Hotel & Condotel which is invested by Tri Duc Hotel Joint Stock Company was commenced on December 06, 2017.

Coteccons Construction Joint Stock Company was awarded as the main contractor of the project.
The project has construction scale of a basement and 23 floors with total floor area of nearly 60,000 m2
The project is expected to be completed in 2020 with a five-star international standard hotel operated by the America-based Hilton Hotel Group and a luxury condotel.
Despite being the largest tourism center in the country and welcoming nearly eight million visitors annually, Quang Ninh province in general and Ha Long Bay in particular, have not attracted big hotel management groups in the world.
Currently, Wyndham Legend Halong Hotel is the largest internationally branded hotel in Ha Long, but still smaller than two hotels owned by the Vietnamese investors, namely Vinpearl and Muong Thanh.
Sheraton, a subsidiary of Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. from the US, is also expected to be present in Ha Long through the management of a hotel owned by Club M Ha Long Joint Stock Company with a total investment capital of VND1,650 billion (US$72.75). However, the project is sluggish without information about when it will be opened.
In addition, Royal International Joint Stock Company is also promoting the investment in a hotel complex with 1,500 - 1,800 rooms in Bai Chay.
Hoang Huy expects revenue to exceed VND4 trillion and post-tax profit to reach up to VND2 trillion in fiscal year 2025-2026, targeting annual growth of over 30% for the next five years.
