Vietjet to receive up to 10 new aircraft by year-end
This expansion aims to meet its growing demand and serve passengers on both domestic and international routes.

Amidst a global aviation market facing shortages and rising travel demand, Vietjet is expected to add 10 new-generation aircraft to its modern fleet in the last months of 2024.
With 10 aircraft expected to be delivered by the end of 2024, Vietjet will continue to expand its network in Vietnam and internationally, reaching new destinations in Australia, India, China, Japan, South Korea, Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Laos, Cambodia and beyond.
The new aircraft, expected to be delivered from August 2024, are primarily the latest A321neo ACF model from Airbus. In 2019, Vietjet became the first airline in the world to operate the A321neo ACF.
The A321neo ACF features an improved cabin design, ensuring standard seat dimensions and spacing, offering the best in-flight experience for passengers. These aircraft also provide at least 16 per cent fuel savings, reduce noise by up to 75 per cent, and cut emissions by 50 per cent.
Recently, Vietjet has signed a contract to purchase 20 new-generation wide-body A330neo aircraft from Airbus, valued at $7.4 billion.
Vietjet's fleet of over 100 aircraft currently includes some of the most advanced and safest models in the world, such as the A320, A321ceo, A321neo - A321neo ACF, and A330 aiming to protect the environment and save fuel, with a goal of achieving Net Zero emissions by 2050.

Vietjet has transported 200 million passengers which including millions of first-time passengers.
Vietjet transported a total of 13.1 million passengers on 70,154 safe flights in the first half ò thí year.
The airline reported consolidated revenue of $1.35 billion for the quarter and consolidated pre-tax profit of $52.22 million, increasing by 15 per cent and 433 per cent respectively year on year.
The airline has paid a total of $147 million of direct and indirect taxes and fees in the first half of 2024.
