Tourism in Vietnam has experienced great leaps and bounds with a double-digit growth in recent years, making it the fastest growing tourism industry in Asia and one of the fastest in the world.

Vietnam welcomed 15.5 million international visitors last year and the number is expected to reach 18 million this year.

As a result, Vietnam's tourism property market has been exploding and attracting numerous domestic and international investors.

Apart from such projects as hotels, resorts, townhouses or branded resorts that are being built in key tourism areas, the country has seen construction of large-scale resorts or urban areas integrated with casino, theme park and golf course.

A handful of real estate developers are venturing into tourism property business, creating a vibrant market that has never been witnessed previously.

Development opportunities and challenges are emerging in tourism property development that need thorough consideration of state management authorities, real estate developers, investors, purchasers and operators.

Among great concerns are a lack of infrastructure and quality human resources as well as operation of tourism properties.

To have a better view of the current state of and development opportunities in the tourism property market, TheLEADER will hold the Vietnam Tourism Real Estate Forum 2019 with a focus on market outlook and challenges in human resources.

The forum, which will take place at Sheraton Saigon Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City on April 6, will discuss issues concerning tourism property development and investment in Vietnam.

The forum will focus on five main topics:

- Overview of Vietnam's tourism property market - Current state and investment outlook.

- Removing bottlenecks and overcoming challenges to turn Vietnam into a tourism powerhouse of the world and facilitate tourism real estate projects.

- Issues need considering when developing and investing in tourism properties in Vietnam.

- Opportunities and challenges for tourism property development in Vietnam.

- The future of work in Vietnam's tourism property sector.

Speakers include Nguyen Tran Nam, chairman of Vietnam Real Estate Association and Ha Van Sieu, vice chairman of Vietnam National Administration of Tourism.

Among international speakers are Adam Bury, senior vice president of JLL Hotels and Hospitality Asia Pacific and Kai Marcus Schroter, CEO of Tourism Hospitality Management.

Antoine Sirot, head of hospitality of Phu Long Corporation and Luis Mesquita de Melo, vice president of Asian Coast Development Ltd. will join panel discussion with Nguyen Cao Cuong, editor-in-chief of TheLEADER being moderator.

The event will also be a valuable opportunity for developers, investors and service providers to network.
