Menas set to launch four supermarkets
Menas has officially opened Mena Gourmet Market, a premium integrated supermarket located on the B1 floor of Menas Mall Saigon Airport, near Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City.
The two parties have reached an agreement which will help Samsung SDS foster its expansion in Vietnam and CMC Corporation achieve its $1-billion takings goal by 2023.
Vietnam’s technology corporation CMC has signed a strategic partnership agreement with the ICT arm of Korean-backed Samsung Group, Samsung SDS, for a comprehensive cooperation in a wide range of high-tech areas including smart factory, cloud, cyber security, blockchain and big data.
According to Won-Pyo Hong, president and CEO of Samsung SDS, having CMC as a strategic partnership will support Samsung SDS’s plan to expand its business in Vietnam and the Southeast Asian markets. Through the agreement, Samsung SDS will be able to actively support the digital transformation for its global clients, based on the combined strengths offered by both companies.
Samsung SDS and CMC have begun their cooperation since 2016. Last June, the former signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the latter to implement a management and operation solution called Manufacturing Execution System (MES) to over 200 vendors of Samsung’s supply chain in Vietnam.
Last November, during the working visit of CMC to Korea, Samsung Group signified a further cooperation between CMC and Samsung SDS in the lines of solutions and platform and IT services.
CMC, meanwhile, expects the cooperation to bring its closer to its target of attaining a $1-billion revenue by 2023.
CMC, according to its CEO Nguyen Trung Chinh, has proven to be a trusted partner of well-known leading technology companies globally like AT&T, Oracle, SAP, Microsoft and now Samsung SDS. “The cooperation between Samsung SDS and CMC will bring great value in establishing a digital economy for not only Vietnam or Korea but also for the Asia Pacific and the world at large.”
CMC Corporation is the second-largest ICT corporation in Vietnam. Over the past 26 years, the company has reinforced its position in the local and international markets through its core business activities of technology and solutions, global business, and telecommunications.
CMC Telecom, the subsidiary of CMC Corporation, is currently the sole partner providing all connected network infrastructure of Samsung in Vietnam.
