VACD launched its southern representative office

After 11 years of establishment, Vietnam Association of Corporate Directors (VACD) has officially appeared in all three main regions.

Dr. Thai Lam Toan, who is currently a chairman of the board and CEO of Bach Khoa Group, was appointed to be the head of Southern representative office.

On June 10, VACD officially launched its southern representative office located at Villa 18, No.523 To Hien Thanh Street, Ward 14, District 10, Ho Chi Minh City.

In the launching ceremony, Dr. Thai Lam Toan, who is currently a chairman of the management board and CEO of Bach Khoa Group, was appointed to be the head of representative office.

Established in 2007 in Hanoi, VACD also had its a representative office in Central Vietnam which is in Danang.

Dated back 10 years ago, together with an inspiration of Vietnam’s integration into the World Trade Organization (WTO) having paved the way for historical opportunities and tough challenges to businesses as well as concerns of vulnerabilities for corporate governance and management of a great deal of Vietnamese enterprises, the Vietnam Association of Corporate Directors (VACD) was officially established and put into operation on July 04, 2007.

With the target of “For A Better Corporate Governance”, VACD’s mission has been a contribution to improvement of capability of corporate governance of Vietnam, especially in the governance of nation, businesses, organizations and communities.

VACD currently has roughly 3,000 active members and its main member units are CFO (Corporate Financial Officers) Club, Vietnam HR (Human Resource) Club and Vietnam Sale-Marketing Club.

TheLEADER Magazine – The Business Leaders Forum of VACD was officially published on the Internet on 8/8/2017.

Speaking at the launching ceremony of southern representative office, Dr. Tran Huu Chinh, Vice President of VACD said: "The goal of VACD is to focus on sharing, consulting and supporting with leaders to build management system in Vietnamese enterprises. It also aims to improve governance methods in line with the new development stages of the country and international integration process to have a better governance."
