The plan has been unveiled by Yoshimune Odaka, CEO of Mikazuki Hotel Group – the owner of the Mikazuki Spa & Hotel Resort project in the tourism area of Xuan Thieu, at the meeting with deputy chairman of the Danang’s People Committee Ho Ky Minh on Monday.

The CEO has accordingly proposed the city’s authority to support the group in converting the designated 5,000 square-metre area from residential to commercial use, in a bid to build the night market. The group has also urged the authority to fix its planning of the area, aiming at turning the Xuan Thieu Beach into a resort and entertainment zone of Danang.

Earlier on in March, Mikazuki Hotel Group kicked off its construction of the $100-million Mikazuki Spa & Hotel Resort in Danang, seeking to enhance the city’s tourism sector. Covering an area of nearly 11.5 hectares, the project features a five-star hotel, a water park, a game park and a dining area on the Xuan Thieu Beach, one of the most stunning beaches in Danang.

According to Odaka, the group is committed to complete the construction of the onsen hot mineral water park at the Mikazuki Spa & Hotel project by April 2020 and the whole project a year later.

Mikazuki Hotel Group is a prominent hotel brand in Japan. It currently operates four big hotels, with more than 1,000 rooms.

Mikazuki Hotel Group, as Odaka noted, is always consistent with its plan to invest in big projects in Danang and the group is devoted to calling on to other investors from Japan to follow their path.

Mikazuki Spa & Hotel is said to be one of the rare hotel projects that Japanese investors have spent on in Danang and Vietnam as a whole.

A joint venture between Indochina Capital and Japan-based Kajima Corporation is one of the examples who have been actively investing in the hotel sector in the country. Two hotel projects, named Wink, have been rolled out in Danang, including the 243-bedroom project on 178 Tran Phu and another one on Tran Hung Dao Street consisting of 252 hotel rooms and 70 service apartments.

In the past two years,Japan’s Route Inn Group has launched its Grandvrio City Danang and GrandvrioOcean Resort Danang, offering the city and tourists a taste of true Japanese-styleaccommodation.
