Kawara has inked a management contract with My An Tourism Joint Stock Company to operate an onsen resort upon its completion by the end of this year.

The resort, which costs some $28 million to build, will put a Japanese-style hot spring and a complex of six villas and a 92-room hotel into operation in final quarter of this year and mid next year, respectively.

Dang Manh Cuong, director of My An Tourism JSC, said he was confident that the resort would help attract tourists to Hue and encourage them to stay longer.

Kawara My An Onsen Resort is seven kilometres away from Hue city and will use water from My An hot spring. The developer claims the special minerals, including sulfur, found in this spring, will help promote health and healing from a number of chronic diseases.
