Idemitsu Kosan plans to build retail petrol station in Hai Phong

Local sources in Hai Phong report that Japan’s Idemitsu Kosan Chief Representative for Vietnam Nobuyuki Nakamura had a working session with Chairman of Hai Phong People's Committee Nguyen Van Tung about investment plans for Dinh Vu Port Petrol Station.

Dinh Vu Port Petrol Station is planned to be constructed on an area of 10,000m2 at Km108 road, Dong Hai 2 Ward, Hai An District, Hai Phong city.

The US$1 million project is expected to bring about revenue of more than US$10 million per year. If all procedures are soon completed, the project will be kicked off in January 2018 and put into operation in February 2018.

Japanese company Idemitsu Oil & Gas has opened a branch in Hai Phong. Currently, it has a lubricant factory in Hai Phong

Chairman of the Hai Phong City People's Committee Nguyen Van Tung agreed with the investment in Dinh Vu Petrol Station.

In October 2017, Idemitsu Q8 petroleum company (IQ8), a joint venture between Japan's Idemitsu Kosa and Kuwait International Petroleum, has officially operated the Idemitsu Q8 retail petrol station in the Nam Thang Long Industrial Park, Hanoi.

This retail petrol station immediately attracted the attention of people on the media with a series of images including free automobile window cleaning and staff bowing to greet guests. On October 10, IQ8 general director Hiroaki Honjo stood in the rain and bowed in gratitude to customers visiting the petrol station.
