Awardees were selected from a pool of 130 nominees across 24 industries, based on proprietary research that assessed the company's working environment, HR practices, employee engagement, and job satisfaction.

This year, thousands of employees across Vietnam responded to the HR Asia best companies to work for in Asia survey. HR Asia, a publication of Business Media International, developed this proprietary survey in consultation with a team of senior industry practitioners and leading thought leaders.

“We believe the better our people are trained, the bigger they will have impacts on our company and the country," said Le Qui Don, Human Resources Director, Heineken Vietnam.

He added: "Vietnam’s business success was very much due to its commitment to its people.”

The company has invested immensely in developing staff, at all levels with its people development program to increase their capacities and skillsets, as well as innovative programs like short-term assignments and graduate programs that give Vietnamese employees the chance to experience work in other Heineken companies all around the world.

Heineken Vietnam employees also get to experience the company’s sustainability programs including a green workplace platform designed to encourage a better working environment.

In 2017, the company invested VND18.9 billion in developing its people, including over 2,600 training hours for employees on road safety and health. Heineken Vietnam went further by providing over 6,000 hours of training for its distributors and sub-distributors.
