There is no escaping the fact that today’s extraordinary digital revolution is impacting finance, and that the pace of this change is accelerating at an unprecedented rate.

Digital technologies, new efficiencies and insights they are providing are affording finance professionals extraordinary competitive advantages while allowing them to manage risk much more proactively.

Meanwhile, Chairman of the International Association of Financial Executives Institutes (IAFEI) Fausto Cosi said that the effect of political problems on manufacturing activities, international trade, and currency valuations is causing a moment of uncertainty being felt globally.

In that context, Vietnam Chief Financial Officers Club (CFO Vietnam) is cooperating with Japan Association for Chief Financial Officers (JAFCO) to organize The 48th CFO World Congress - IAFEI for Finance Executives to welcome more than 500 business leaders, global chief financial officers, finance directors and other finance executives from all continents together to share knowledge and expertise, reflect on history, assimilate new information, and delve into the future of the finance profession.

The 48th CFO World Congress will bring national and international speakers together to discuss the most critical policy, regulatory, and business issues facing business leaders and financial executives in the digital age.

Adopting the theme of “Transforming finance in the digital age”, the Congress programme is meant to be a balance between policy considerations driving (or hindering) global and Asian growth and the transformative potential of digital technologies in responding to the opportunities and challenges they present.

From cybersecurity, blockchain technology, and analytics to artificial intelligence, included in the programme are topics that are becoming more and more top of mind for all business professionals.

"For the first time, the annual IAFEI congress takes place in Vietnam, a true mark of the progress of that rising star economy has made on the road to a market economy with prospects for growth in GDP, consumer spending and living standards," said Fausto Cosi.

According to IAFEI Chairman, the event would be a great opportunity for discussion, for new potential openings towards new markets, and for cultural and professional growth.

The 48th CFO World Congress - IAFEI for Finance Executives would be held from the 14th to 16th of November 2018 at Lotte Legend Saigon Hotel (Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam). TheLEADER will be the media partner for the program.
