Government officially approves establishment of Bamboo Airways
The approval of Bamboo Airways project has been officially signed by Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung.

Based on the approval decision, this project has a total investment capital of over $30 million, the minimum stipulated for a local airline.
The project will be implemented in the period 2019-2023 and is licensed for a period of 50 years from July 9, 2018
According to the Ministry of Planning and Investment, the project documents of Bamboo Airways have basically met all necessary legal procedures.
At the same time, other government agencies such as Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of National Defense, Ministry of Public Security, etc. have all submitted documents confirming the full legal and consensus procedures for the Bamboo Airways project.
Earlier, FLC Group and Bamboo Airways had signed an agreement to buy 24 A321NEO aircrafts with Airbus in France under the presence of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong in March 2018.
In June 2018, 20 Boeing B787-9 Dreamliner aircraft were purchased under the presence of Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue to set up the fleet preparing for the plan to take off at the end of this year.
Bamboo Airways is set out to be a hybrid airline, which combines traditional and low cost airlines aiming to serve all customer segments, based on the opinion of Dang Tat Thang, CEO of Bamboo Airways.
Besides offering all services of a traditional airline with reasonable fares, Bamboo Airways also determines a distinctive approach from other traditional airlines in Vietnam by providing five star services on all flights.
In the near future, Bamboo Airways also plans to open direct flights to the United States and Europe.
