Particularly in July, GO-VIET will officially launch the beta version of the application through the "GO-VIET Proactive Exploration" program, which will allow users and drivers to participate in the free trial in some inner city areas in Ho Chi Minh City with its first two services including two-wheeler-hailing service and on-demand logistics services.

"Together with the GO-JEK team, we wish to meet the needs of Vietnamese consumers and offer a stable income source to tens of thousands of drivers through international standard technology platforms, optimizing for the Vietnamese market," said Nguyen Vu Duc, CEO and Co-Founder of GO-VIET.

In addition to ride-hailing, GO-VIET also aims to be the largest multi-service platform in Vietnam, starting with ride-hailing and on-demand logistics services, before launching food delivery service, electronic payment and other services.

Go-Jek’s launch in Vietnam is also a part of its $500 million expansion plan into Southeast Asian countries such as Thailand, Singapore and the Philippines.

The regional expansion plan of Go-Jek was announced right after the company’s recent funding round comprising the involvement of investors like Google, Warburg Pincus, KKR, Tencent and Meituan-Dianping and some other international investors.

After the test phase, GO-VIET application will be deployed throughout Ho Chi Minh City and will quickly be expanded to Hanoi city as well as other provinces across the country.

According to Nadiem Makarim, Go-Jek CEO and founder, its business model has proven to be a great success in Indonesia because they have focused on the way to improve the quality of life for consumers and drivers. Go-Jek believes that other countries including Vietnam can also benefit from this model in the same way.

He also mentioned that Go-Jek is very confident in the future of Vietnamese market, especially with the determination, passion and effort for the development of technology and values that are brought by technology to the society of GO-VIET management team.

Go-Jek commits supporting their partners through sharing experiences and technology to develop and expand services rapidly.
