VTV offers record prices for ad slots at World Cup football matches
Vietnam Television has just offered the record prices for advertising blocs at broadcasting football matches of World Cup, a move aimed at compensating for the so high amount paid for copyright.

It is calculated that Vietnam Television (VTV), Viettel and Vingroup paid around $14 - $15 million to Infront Sports & Media for copyright to broadcast which is double the price paid in the last World Cup.
To compensate the high amount of copyright, VTV has just announced the record prices, specifically around $11,000, $13,200, $16,500 and $22,000 for advertising blocs of 10, 15, 20 and 30 seconds at the final match, respectively.

It is estimated that such prices would bring between $44,000 and $62,000 per minute, which is 40 per cent higher than the corresponding prices in the last World Cup final match.
In other categories such as sections of commentary and closing ceremony, the offered prices between $9,900 and $19,800 are for advertising slots of 10 seconds and 30 seconds.
In the qualified matches, the advertising prices would be $4,400, $5,200, $6,600 and $$8,800 for 10, 15, 20 and 30 seconds, respectively.
In the sections of commentary and opening ceremony, the advertising prices are a little bit lower at between $13,200 and $19,800 per minute.
In the round of 16 football teams, the prices are offered at $5,500 and $11,000 for ad slots between 10 and 30 seconds.
In the quarterfinal matches, the prices for ad slots of 10, 15, 20 and 30 seconds are offered at $6,600, $7,900, $9,900 and $13,200, respectively or otherwise, VTV will obtain between $26,400 and $39,600 per minute.
