The representative from Bosch in Vietnam said that the MoU indicates the potential for cooperation with Vingroup in providing hardware solutions, software solutions, and services for VinFast - a subsidiary of Vingroup.

Building on the advantages as the world’s largest supplier of automotive parts and technologies - Bosch will provide Vinfast with components, equipment, etc. which are of quality, precision and in conformity with the production process.

Bosch also supports and consults with Vinfast to develop and apply software for automotive and solutions for the operation and management of VinFast's factory, such as design and user experience services, customer solutions development, etc.

More specifically, Bosch and Vingroup will jointly research and put into application advanced technological solutions for VinFast’s cars, aiming to introduce car models with modern features and bringing the outstanding experience for users.

Moreover, Bosch will provide smart campus solutions for the VinFast’s plant, including smart security and safety, connected mobility, smart operation, and energy management; connected industry consultancy and deployment.

Another area of planned cooperation is a vocational training center. (Bosch has already invested more than US$1 million in the Bosch Technical Industrial Apprenticeship training center in Dong Nai.)

VinFast plans to establish a mechatronics & industrial mechanics vocational training center based on German standards, to build up their own qualified technicians to operate modern production lines and gradually receive technology transfer from foreign partners.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Guru Mallikarjuna, managing director of Bosch in Vietnam stressed: "The MoU signing ceremony is a critical milestone in the cooperation between Bosch and Vingroup. With our comprehensive expertise in technology for automotive, including software, hardware solutions and services, Bosch is committed to support Vingroup in implementing this project successfully."

Duong Thi Mai Hoa – Vingroup’s CEO also asserted: "The cooperation with Bosch and other world leading technology partners is a part of our strategy to proactively attract and apply the most modern technologies in Vinfast cars and e-scooters projects."

Although Vingroup announced to join the automotive manufacturing sector on September 02, 2017, many strategic steps have been made. Within 40 days, VinFast has organized the ground-breaking ceremony, recruited high profile international officers, introduced a collection of 20 concept cars from the four well-known design studios and consecutively signed MoU with the leading global suppliers of technology and services, including Bosch.

The above steps show Vingroup’s determination and ability to realize their committed target of bringing into the market e-scooters after 12 months, and cars using gasoline systems after 24 months with a modern style, high quality, convenience, safety, world-class design, and in-line with local market needs.
