The new Vietnamese car maker VinFast has just announced privileges for its three models of cars, namely hatchback Fadil, sedan Lux A 2.0 and SUV Lux SA 2.0, which have preferential prices at $14,800, $35,200 and $50,000 each respectively.
In the initial stages, the price of VinFast’s products will not take depreciation costs (from production machinery and assembly chains), financial expenses (interest payable on loans for investment in factory construction) and profit into account, which is called 'Thee No'.
The selling price will be calculated by production cost plus the selling one only. Such announced prices have not included value added tax at 10 per cent each. Customers are required to deposit at $880 and $2,200 each for buying Fadil branded hatchback and Lux branded sedan cars.
Nguyen Viet Quang, vice president cum general director of Vingroup said that, "With such special prices in comparison with grade and quality of cars, VinFast truly expects to accompany with users to build up not only a Vietnamese auto brand but also a Vietnamese pride."
The above mentioned preferential prices will be applied in the first batches of cars, which are much lower than the officially announced prices at $18,600, $60,000 and $80,000 for Fadil hatchback, Lux sedan and SUV cars, respectively.
The Fadil hatchback model is developed from Karl Rocks branded cars of Adam Opel AG (Opel) under technology franchising contract signed in middle of this year between VinFast and General Motors, the owner of Germany based prestigious auto manufacturer Opel.
Whereas, VinFast has recently bought in technology and services from Germany’s BMW, Italian design house Pininfarina, and supplier groups Bosch and Siemens to produce its sedan and SUV models scheduled to be launch late today.
In addition, VinFast is establishing dozens of thousands of support services points which are integrated in the VinFast ecosystem for Klara branded electric scooters to serve users nation-wide.
VinFast would officially introduce first its smart e-scooters which have six different colors, resulting in a strong impression for viewers in its recently held submerging performance within 30 minutes.
According to VinFast, e-scooters in its first batches would have price ranged between VND21 million (roughly $925) and VND34 million ($1,500) each, around 40 per cent lower than their factual prices.
