Vietjet to fly direct to India in December

TheLEADERThe budget airline has become the first to operate direct routes to India starting this December, with booking now available on its online channels and ticket offices nationwide.

Vietjet has announced its two direct flights from Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi to New Delhi.

Accordingly, the Ho Chi Minh City-New Delhi route will operate four return flights a week on every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, starting from December 6, 2019. The flight departs from Ho Chi Minh City at 19:00 and arrives in New Delhi at 22:50. The return flight takes off from New Delhi at 23:50 and lands in Ho Chi Minh City at 06:10.

The Hanoi-New Delhi route will operate three return flights a week on every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday starting from December 7, 2019. The flight departs from Hanoi at 19:10 and arrives in New Delhi at 22:50. The return flight takes off from New Delhi at 23:50 and lands in Hanoi at 05:20 (All in local times).

Previously, passengers traveling between the two countries ought to transit through a third country like Thailand, Singapore or Hong Kong on their way to the final destination.

With direct flights from Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi to New Delhi, of which flying time is around five hours, Vietjet will bring about more trade and tourism opportunities as well as promote the economies of the two developing countries. What’s more, the airline now connects India to its flight network across Southeast Asia.
