The first lot of Housui Gold Pear from Japan exported to Vietnam after a ban lift

The first 5 tons of Housui Gold Pear will be introduced to consumers of HCMC at Tan Phu Aeon mall from October 14. This information was published by Kiyoshi Asana, director of the agricultural cooperative society named JA Myagi Sennan in a promotion conference.
This conference is part of the Japan Fair 2017 project which was jointly organized by the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) and Aeon.
Kiyoshi Asana also said that in order to go to Vietnam market, Housui Gold Pear not only ensurses hygiene and food safety but also meets many other quality targets such as color, size or freshness.
Each pear weighing from 250 to 300gr is sold at VND248,000 per kg (nearly US$11 per kg)
The ban of exporting Japan pears to Vietnam market was lifted in the beginning in January 2017, so Japanese partners have plan of exporting two other types of pears so as to increase consumers' choices.
Up to now, there are two kinds of Japanese fruits imported into Vietnam including pears and apples. Two years ago, Japanese apples were granted access to Vietnamese consumers.
