The Australian Government finances Vietnam’s 17 startups

Twenty-one projects are honored, of which 17 are financed and the remainders are offered the non-financial support services.
The award ceremony honors winner enterprises of Proof of Concept Competition 2
On September 20, the Vietnam Climate Innovation Center project (VCIC) honors excellent startups with innovative initiatives to address the challenges of climate change in Vietnam.
The awards ceremony honors 21 excellent startups in the competition "The 2nd Proof of Concept” (POC2) and acknowledges the efforts of the first seven startups during the incubation period.
After the awards ceremony, from September 21 to September 23, VCIC will hold a training program to enhance knowledge and skills for two business groups to focus on the planning of business objectives, market research, marketing and technology description.
After over a year in partnership with VCIC, the startups awarded in the first competition have achieved many successes such as revenue growth at 300 per cent, strong business development in the northern market of Viet Nam and plan on approaching the global market…
VCIC is supported by the Australian Government and the UK Department for International Development. It offers financial support, capacity training and business advisory services to businessman and entrepreneurs related to five key fields: Energy efficiency, information technology, renewable energy, sustainable agriculture and water resources management in order to turn climate change challenges into business opportunities.
The VCIC is part of the World Bank Group’s Climate Technology Programme, which aims to develop a global network of innovation centers in seven countries, enhance the sharing of knowledge and promote trade.
