TheLEADERTH Group has just held the commencement ceremony of its dairy factory with a capacity of 1,500 tonnes per day in the industrial zone of the special economic zone in Borovsk district, Kaluga province, Russia.

Upon the completion of the third phase of the project, the total number of dairy herds is expected to reach 350,000 with the total milk processing capacity at around 5,900 tons per day, equivalent to nearly 1,800,000 tons annually. The group also plans to set up a distribution chain with 300 True Mart stores across Russia.

According to the assessment of Anotoly Dmitriyevich Artamonov, Governor of Kaluga province, TH’s project is the most important investment one of the province, of which the plant of the project with a capacity of 1,500 tonnes per day will become Russia's largest factory with full use of raw milk from the TH’s farms in Moscow city and Kaluga province.

A series of dairy products including pasteurized milk, yogurt, ice-cream, butter, cheese, kefir, a fermented drink and Ryazhenka, an unsweetened Russian style kefir made with baked whole milk are expected to be produced at this plant.

These products will not only meet the traditional consumption needs of Russian but also have a special innovative point when developing the beverage line with the special formula of TH, while still using all natural, fresh and delicious ingredients.

Additionally, the dairy products of TH's plant in Kaluga province specifically as well as in Russia in general are anticipated to not only compensate for the milk shortage in Russia (a consumption fall of 378kg per person in 1990 to 233kg per person in 2016) but also aim to be able to export to international markets, in particular China and Asia-Pacific markets.

In addition to TH plant in Kaluga province, TH Group is considering building farms and dairy processing plants in Tyumen province and The Republic of Bashkortostan. The group is also implementing dairy breeding and processing projects in Primorye province, Far East region, Russian Federation.

Together with clean fresh milk and organic milk, TH Group will also invest in producing other organic foods such as vegetables and pharmaceuticals to supply to Russia and neighboring nations.

With its experiences in organic production meeting European and American standards, TH Group is very confident to be able to satisfy Russian’s needs. Leader of TH Group hopes that TH’s products in Russia will be well-loved by consumers and eventually accepted as Russian-branded products.
