Relocation of ministries and ministerial-level agencies is being sped up

The Ministry of Construction (MoC) shall appraise and submit the planning scheme on relocation of headquarters of the ministries and ministerial-level agencies to the Prime Minister for approval by October 30, 2017.

The MoC has studied and proposed planning two areas, namely Tay Ho Tay new town and Me Tri ward, to relocate the headquarters of a number of ministries, departments and central bodies. According to the master plan on construction of headquarters of the ministries, ministerial-level agencies under the Government and the central bodies of mass organizations in Hanoi (revised) to 2030, such headquarters will be located in the Tay Ho Tay new town and Me Tri ward.
In order to complete the planning scheme, Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dzung asked the MoC to coordinate with the Ha Noi People's Committee, ministries, departments… to review the current status of using headquarters in Hanoi made by the ministries, departments, subordinate units… This will be the basis for considering and calculating the overall demands on investment and construction of such headquarters and proposing general plans on using buildings and land under such agencies’ management and use.
Dzung also asked MoC to propose specific plans on using land at existing positions after such agencies move to new positions.
The planned areas of new headquarters must be conveniently connected with the offices of Vietnam’s State and Communist Party in order to ensure the proper operation, use and transaction. The planned areas must also offer modern architecture with appropriate scale and economic efficiency.
