In order to attract tourists to the Quang Nam Heritage Festival 2017, organizers will introduce attractive offers on tours to the central province during the festival, which will take place from June 7 to 14 in Tam Ky and Hoi An cities.

Entry will be free to all the festival’s activities, as well as to the UNESCO world heritage sites of Hoi An ancient town and My Son Sanctuary and the Cu Lao Cham World Biosphere Reserve (excluding service fees).

Tourist sites and resorts in the south and west of the province are also offering promotions. A voucher for a one-night stay in a four-star hotel will be given to the first 100 people booking tours to the south and west of Tam Ky city. A discount of up to 20 per cent will be offered at seafood restaurants on Tam Thanh Beach and at spa services at the Tam Thanh Resort. In Phu Ninh district, a 30 discount will apply on tours to and services at the Phu Ninh Lake Eco-Resort, while special rates will be offered on package tours to tourist attractions in the districts of Dong Giang, Nam Giang, and Tay Giang.

These programs apply to tourists traveling in groups of ten or more with a travel company and staying at least one night in Quang Nam from June 9 to 14.

The sixth Quang Nam Heritage Festival 2017 will highlight the island and coastal heritages of the province in a bid to attract more visitors.

This year's festival will see many cultural and sporting activities held for the first time, including the first national kayaking tournament on Phu Ninh Lake, slated for June 10 to 12. A performance of the rite of setting up Neu poles, entitled “The Essence of Quang Nam Highlands” will be held at the traditional communal house of the Katu ethnic minority people in Tay Giang district from June 11 to 13.

The festival will also include a string of events involving international art troupes and organizations, such as the International Choir Competition, the International Kite Festival, a golf tournament, the World and Vietnam Silk Festival, an international food festival, the Vietnam Sailboat Race and the World Windsurfing Championship, and international conference on world heritage cities and sustainable development.

Various events featuring Quang Nam and Vietnamese culture will be organized, promising an array of interesting experiences for visitors, including the Bai Choi Folk Singing Festival, introducing intangible cultural heritages honored by UNESCO and entitled "Colors of Vietnam's Intangible Cultural Heritage", the Exhibition of Champa Temples in central provinces, and an art show entitled “Legends of Apsara”.

The quadrennial festival was first held in 2003 with the aim of promoting and honoring the cultural values and traditions of Quang Nam in particular and Vietnam in general, as well as promoting tourism and investment in Quang Nam.
