Nguyen Hoang Group pours $43.9 million into International Education City project in Quang Ngai

Quang Ngai is the first place that Nguyen Hoang Group chose to develop the International Education City model before replicating it in other provinces.

The master plan of International Education City

Up to now, in Vietnam, the major international education models are concentrated in two big cities: Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi. Young people in other provinces who want to enjoy the international-standard training have to gather in these two cities, which increases the pressure on the infrastructure of both the cities.

To reduce that pressure and help all Vietnamese people get access to high-quality education more easily, Nguyen Hoang Group decided to start the “International Education City” (IEC) project.

The Minister of Education and Training Phung Xuan Nha (the third from the left), leaders of Quang Ngai province and Nguyen Hoang Group officially started the project.

Nguyen Hoang Group, one of the pioneers in private education in Vietnam, has invested in more than 30 educational projects in 12 provinces, satisfying the demands of 30,000 students.

Quang Ngai was selected as the first province. Then, this model would be replicated in many other provinces across the country.

IEC is a pioneering educational model in Vietnam, which covers all levels of education with the international quality. It includes various schools in the system of Nguyen Hoang Group such as iSchool, iStudent, British Academy Bilingual School, or School of North America (SNA).

IEC will be built on an area of ten hectares with the total investment of more than $43.9 million. The campus includes the central area, a pencil tower, a multipurpose sports hall with an area of over 6,000 square metres, an indoor sports playground.

It is scheduled to operate by May 2019.
