Nestlé again named the most sustainable business in Vietnam
This is the second year in a row that Nestlé Vietnam has been recognised as the most sustainable business in Vietnam in the manufacturing sector, and for the fourth year it is in the Top 3 sustainable enterprises.
To achieve this recognition, Nestlé Vietnam has met the CSI Sustainability Index 2022 with 130 indicators, of which 68 per cent were related to legal compliance requirements - which are mandatory requirements, and 32 per cent were indicators related to sustainable business initiatives.
This year is the 7th consecutive year that the Programme on Benchmarking and Announcing Sustainable Businesses in (CSI Programme) is hosted by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI).
Nestlé Vietnam was also voted in the Top 5 enterprises implementing the circular economy model in response to climate change.

“As the global leader in the food and beverage industry, Nestlé Group attaches importance to the principles of sustainable development in production and business activities in association with corporate social responsibility. We believe in the power of food to enhance lives,” said Binu Jacob, CEO of Nestlé Vietnam.
He added: “This belief underpins Nestlé's commitment to using its global scale, resources and expertise to contribute to a healthier future for people and the planet. For its environmental sustainability strategy, Nestlé aims to achieve net zero emissions by 2050.”
The recognition is a testament to Nestlé Vietnam's efforts in fulfilling its commitment to long-term investment and the sustainable development of Vietnam.
As part of its commitment to environmental protection, Nestlé Vietnam undertakes action programmes to avoid detrimental impact on the environment. It also contributes to the preservation, restoration, and regeneration of natural resources for the present and future generations.
The company focuses on four key areas for both present and future generations, including prevention and adaptation to climate change, developing sustainable packaging, sustainable purchasing, and water management.
Despite being affected by the pandemic from 2020 to 2021, Nestlé Vietnam continues to make investments to guarantee the proper implementation of the roadmap and priorities its sustainable development commitments.
As a pioneer in sustainable development, and a member of Packaging Recycling Organization Vietnam (PRO Vietnam), the company consistently participates in sharing initiatives and practical experiences to inspire other businesses, contributing to sustainable development in Vietnam.
It announced its commitment to plastic neutrality by 2025, and also signed an MoU with the Vietnam Environment Agency, with the aim of promoting propaganda activities, disseminating and raising awareness about environmental protection, and promoting activities on sustainable packaging management.
