Major transport projects amounting to billion U.S. dollars to be audited in 2018

The State Audit Office of Vietnam (SAV) has said it will prioritize the audit of key projects involved in the transport sector and projects in the form of public-private partnership (PPP).
Cat Linh - Ha Dong section under Hanoi Urban Railway project will be audited in 2018.
SAV Auditor General Ho Duc Phuc signed and issued Decision No. 1785/QD-KTNN on the "Audit plan in 2018" of the SAV on December 04, 2017.
Projects prioritized for audit include national highway No.1 improvement project; Ho Chi Minh city urban railway construction project - Line 1: Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien section; Ha Noi metro rail system project including Cat Linh - Ha Dong section and Nhon – Hanoi Station section; Quang Ninh airport construction project; other transport projects in the PPP form, etc.
In 2018, SAV will conduct over 200 audits of which 65 audits will be focused on the State budget and local budgets in 2017. SAV will implement a specialized audit on the management and use of public finance and public assets in 2017 at the General Department of Taxation and the local taxation agencies.
Other audits includes nine operation audits, 23 specialized audits, 50 audits on construction activities and the management and use of investment capital, 33 audits on financial statements, activities related to management and use of the State capital and assets in 2017 at the State corporations and banks, 14 audits in term of defense and eight audits on security and the Party agencies.
