Emperor Cruises has been honoured ‘Top-notch Cruises 2019’ for its five-star all-inclusive cruise services, marking Vietnam on the global map for sumptuous cruise services available to travellers.

Emperor Cruises was inspired by the lavish lifestyle of the last Emperor Bao Dai

For the first time, Emperor Cruises has been given the award for being the country’s leading luxury cruise operator by the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT).

“Emperor Cruises was inspired by the lavish lifestyle of the last Emperor Bao Dai and is a new brand in the cruise industry, and after four year of pioneering operations in Nha Trang and Bai Tu Long Bay, we are so proud to receive this most prestigious tourism award in Vietnam from VNAT,” said Pham Ha, co-founder of Emperor Cruises Company.

“The award is a great encouragement to all members of the Emperor Cruises Company to raise the bar, deliver authentic and unique experiences, and encourage us to invest more in luxury cruising across Vietnam,” he added.

The Vietnam Tourism Awards has been held annually since 1999 and the awards aim at honouring leading tourism enterprises, which make significant contributions to tourism development, improving tourism service quality, diversifying tourism products, strengthening international integration, and promoting Vietnam tourism.

This year, VNAT has announced 100 nominations in the travel and tourism industry and only five cruises lines are chosen for this prestigious annual award.

Serving 5,000 guests per year in both Nha Trang Bay and Bai Tu Long Bay, Emperor Cruises has two cruise ships and offers daily departures for daytime and sunset cruises in Nha Trang Bay and overnight options in Bai Tu Long Bay.

According to Ha, as more travellers opt for cruises in Cat Ba Archipelago and Nha Trang Bay, the company will add overnight cruises these to celebrate Vietnam Tourism Year 2019. The company will also be preparing for the construction of new cruise ships in Bai Tu Long Bay by the end of 2020, to increase the fleet to five to carry up to 10,000 high-end travellers each year.

Emperor Cruises has already received several prestigious awards over the years, including the Guide Awards and those from Trip Advisor. Emperor Cruises is a member of the Lux Group that owns Luxury Travel and Heritage Cruises. Lux Group is an award-winning Asian travel and hospitality group with more than 20 years delivering unique experiences.

According to statistics from the VNAT, Vietnam has welcomed nearly 8.5 million foreign tourists in the first half of 2019, up 7.5 per cent on-year. The sector has generated VND338.2 trillion ($14.7 billion) in revenue, up 8.4 per cent on-year. This year, the sector expects to serve 17.5-18 million international visitors and 85 million domestic one, targeting some VND700 trillion ($30.4 billion) in revenue.
