Golf legend Greg Norman has inked a deal with Nutifood to promote Vietnamese coffee in international markets.
The Greg Norman Nutifood joint venture will be set up in New York, with the Vietnamese nutrition company contributing 70 per cent and Greg Norman the remaining.
Nutifood will be in charge of researching, producing and distributing coffee products, while Norman will provide the copyright and licenses for this joint venture to use his brand, images and “The Great White Shark” logo on NutiFood’s coffee products.
The joint venture will open Greg Norman NutiCafé coffee chains in Vietnam and other Asian countries first before expanding to the US.
Nutifood chairman Tran Thanh Hai said the company’s research and production strengths will be combined with Norman’s international prestige to help Vietnamese coffee, especially iced milk coffee, stretch its reach to the world.
Novaland chairman Bui Thanh Nhon is reported to introduce Greg Norman to Nutifood.
Novaland is a premier real estate developer based in Ho Chi Minh City and has signed with Greg Norman to develop four golf course in Can Tho, Ba Ria Vung Tau and Binh Thuan provinces at total development costs of $100 million.
Known as The Great White Shark, Greg Norman has won 91 international tournaments, including 20 PGA Tour tournaments and two majors namely The Open Championships in 1986 and 1993.
Greg Norman Golf Course Design has opened three golf courses in Vietnam, The Bluff Ho Tram Strip in Ba Ria Vung Tau province, BRG Golf Club in Danang and the newly-opened KN Golf Links in Khanh Hoa province.
