Foxconn takes step to expand investment in Bac Ninh

The factory of Foxconn Technology Group (Foxconn), a Taiwanese multinational electronics manufacturing company, constructed in Bac Ninh province in 2007 is intensifying requisite formalities to expand its investment portfolios in a next phase.

According to the Bac Ninh Provincial Online Portal www.bacninh.gov.vn, Executive Vice President of Foxconn Lu Fang Ming had a meeting with leaders of Bac Ninh province in order to learn about the location for investment expansion in the upcoming time.
The corporation hopes that the province will continue recommending convenient investment locations for Foxconn to plan its investment and production expansion in the next period.
Chairman of the People’s Committee of Bac Ninh province Nguyen Tu Quynh introduced some potential industrial zones having the convenient positions, transportation, and modern infrastructure. Bac Ninh hopes that Foxconn will continue expanding its investment, sustainably developing and significantly contributing to the socio-economic development of the province.
Currently, Bac Ninh is one of the fast-growing provinces with many several leading foreign corporations are developing their manufacture hubs.
In 2007, Foxconn started constructing its factory which is specialized in manufacturing and trading electronic components, information technology and telecommunications in Que Vo industrial zone.
In 2016, Foxconn's revenue reached over US$1.5 billion. Currently, Foxconn’s factory has more than 34,000 workers. In addition to processing and manufacturing for big electronics companies in the world, Foxconn also has its own three mobile brands namely Nokia, Sharp, Infocus.
