Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue has recently signed the Decision 1001/QD-TTg which approves the plan to arrange enterprises under SCIC by 2020.

Notably, SCIC was approved to sell its stakes from 2017 to 2020 in 4 enterprises including Vietnam Broadcasting Tower Investment JSC.

Previously, Ministry of Finance had sent an official document to Government Office to report on this project and the capital rearrangement plan of Vietnam Broadcasting Tower Investment JSC.

The Ministry confirmed that Vietnam Television (VTV) had officially withdrawn from the project since the end of May. The reason is that VTV wanted to focus on improving their product quality and developing their business potential in broadcasting. Besides, the project has not been approved by Prime Minister yet.

Therefore, the investors are requested to report to Prime Minister on the necessity, the objectives and their capacity to implement this project. The withdrawal of VTV and SCIC from the project means it is not funded by Government any longer.
