FLC Group pledged to make investment of $2.7 billion in Quang Binh province

At Quang Binh Investment Promotion Conference held on August 27, Quang Binh People's Committee granted investment registration certificates and investment cooperation agreements for 66 projects with a total investment of VND162,250 billion, equivalent to $7.05 billion, of which FLC Group pledged to make an estimated investment of $2.71 billion.
Quang Binh has granted certificates of investment registration to 36 projects owned by 23 investors with total investment of VND29.7 trillion ($1.27 billion) and investment cooperation agreements to 30 projects owned by 24 investors with a total investment of VND132.5 trillion ($6.05 billion).
Some large projects granted the investment registration certificate include $100-million wood factory project invested by Okal Quang Binh Wood JSC, $47.3-million five-star Pullman hotel project invested by Hanoi - Quang Binh Tourism JSC, $30.1-million five-star hotel project invested by Quang Binh Investment Co. Ltd, etc.
Regarding projects awarded investment cooperation agreements, some outstanding projects are $150-million Sunrise Bao Ninh urban area project invested by Truong Thinh Group, $104-million Son Hai Resort project invested by Son Hai Group, $1.24-billion Dinh Muoi complex project invested by T&T Group, $208-million TMS Quang Binh resort owned by TMS Global JSC, $387-million wind power project (180MW) invested by Tan Hoan Cau JSC.
In addition, Quang Binh province also granted a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the establishment of e-government in Quang Binh province to Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT) and Viettel Military Industry and Telecoms Group (Viettel).
Previously, at the side events held by Quang Binh province such as Philippines Investment Promotion Conference organized from June 8 to June 12, 2018, the province inked two MoUs with total committed investment of VND9 trillion ($387-million).
At the Singapore Investment Promotion Conference held from August 5 to August 8, 2018, the province signed a MoU with the Singapore Manufacturing Federation (SMF) to support Quang Binh province to offer business opportunities to SMF's members through the organization of seminars and events in Singapore and Quang Binh province.
Beside, a MoU entered by Quang Binh province and SOFOS Capital Management Pte. Ltd to attract prestigious investors in the world, especially in North America and ASEAN to invest in fields of clean energy, key industries, supporting industries in Quang Binh province.
Earlier, in the list of projects calling for investment in Quang Binh province in the 2018 to 2020 period, the province called for investment in 48 projects including six seaside resort projects, eight ecological resort projects, three commercial center projects, five industrial projects, eight agricultural projects, three healthcare training projects and 15 infrastructure projects.
