Distributed by Thaco, BMW Motorrad prices decrease nearly $9,000

According to the latest price list announced, prices of BMW Motorrad models distributed by Truong Hai Auto Corporation, commonly known as Thaco decrease from VND129 million or equivalent to $5,675 to VND199 million or $8,755.

In January 2018, through the authorized dealer Thaco, BMW Motorrad, the motorcycle brand of the German company BMW, returned to Vietnam. After the customs clearance had been completed, the first batch of imported BMW Motorrad was shipped to the port of Ho Chi Minh City at the beginning of April.

On May 02, Thaco officially announced the selling price of BMW Motorrad models in this imported batch. Specifically, eight BMW Motorrad models include G 310 R, G 310 GS, F 700 GS, F 800 GS, R 1200 GS, R 1200 GS, S 1000 R and S 1000 RR.

According to the latest price list announced, prices of BMW Motorrad models distributed by Thaco decrease from VND129 million ($5,675) to VND199 million ($8,755). Model G310 to which the bikers community is longing has an affordable price as expected. Specifically, Version G310 R has the price of VND189 million ($8,315) and version G310 GS is valued at VND219 million ($9,635).

BMW G310 is a small naked bike model, with design inspired by the model S1000R. BMW G310 has the seat height of 785mm, unladen weight of 158.5 kg and wheels of 17 inches. The BMW G310 is available in two versions, G 310 R and G 310 GS, with optional colors.

BMW G310 is aimed at beginners who practice riding motorbikes, or who want to own a cool vehicle for daily traveling.

Another notable model is BMW R1200 GS, the flagship model of the BMW Motorrad. In 2016, BMW Motorrad reported a new record of over 140,000 motorbikes sold worldwide, of which R1200 GS accounted for nearly 24,000 motorbikes.

In the Vietnamese market, R1200 GS is highly rated by the bikers community as it is designed to run on multi-terrain, quite suitable for geographic-geological and traffic characteristics of Vietnam.

R1200 GS has an overall dimension of 2210 x 953 x 1450 (mm). R1200 GS is priced at VND590 million by Thaco.

Officially launched in Vietnam in 2014, BMW Motorrad motorbikes, especially G310, S 1000 RR, R 1200 GS, and R 1200 GS Adventure, easily conquered Vietnamese motorbike enthusiasts. Currently, the BMW Motorrad community in Vietnam has exceeded 500 members.
