TCL and its secondary investors will be manufacturing speakers, headphones and other accessories in Quang Ninh

The two manufacturing plants will be located in Dong Mai Industrial Park, in Quang Yen district, Quang Ninh province. Once put into operation, which anticipated in May 2020, they will create 2,000 jobs for the local residents.

In the meantime, TCL’s secondary investors are also studying the production facilities of other accessories in the industrial park.

Established since 1981, TCL has been focusing on designing, developing, manufacturing, and distributing electronic products, including television sets, mobile phones, and other small electrical appliances.

At the meeting with the chairman of Quang Ninh People’s Committee Nguyen Van Thang on July 10, representative of TCL has expressed the company’s keen interest in investing in the province and its hope to receive the most favourable conditions to successfully implement the two projects.

Thang said that the province has strived to create the best investment environment for enterprises over the years and TCL will be enjoying these once they have settled in. Topping the Vietnam Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI) rankings in both 2017 and 2018, Quang Ninh has proven capacity in improving its business environment through the enhancement of transparency and competitiveness.

Quang Ninh, nevertheless, does not seek to attract investments at all costs. All projects must thus ensure their power in sustainable development and environmental protection in order to be granted a license to invest.

The province, in particular, is welcoming environment-friendly high-tech projects to be on board with its long-term development view.
