Boeing President: "Vietnam has the potential to become a supplier of accessories for the production of Boeing aircraft"

The Prime Minister (PM) Nguyen Xuan Phuc has suggested Boeing research and assist Vietnam in making direct flights to the United States at a meeting between PM and Kevin Mc Allister, President and CEO of Boeing Company yesterday held in Hanoi.

Recently, Vietnam had direct flights to the UK, Australia. 

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc highly appreciated the cooperation and support of Boeing to Vietnam in the exploitation of Boeing aircraft in Vietnam. Boeing aircraft with good quality and modern technology has been exploited by the airlines of Vietnam, which achieve high efficiency.

The Prime Minister suggested that the largest US aircraft maker continue to assist Vietnamese partners in researching and evaluating aircraft to make the right choice and to conduct highly efficient flights.

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc also asked Boeing to consider for supporting the establishment of a pilot training center in Vietnam in the near future, particularly supporting Vietnam to host successfully the APEC Economic Leaders’ Week.

The number of aircrafts that Vietnam Airlines hired and purchased from Boeing is quite large in the context of increasing cooperation between the United States and Vietnam. The Prime Minister said the prospect of opening a new chapter in cooperation with Boeing is so bright.

Kevin Mc Allister emphasized that Vietnam's aviation market is growing rapidly and Vietnam has the potential to become a supplier of accessories for the production of Boeing aircraft. He also said that Boeing is ready to send the best experts to cooperate and support Vietnam in the field of aviation, especially in improving aviation infrastructure and improving aircraft quality.
