Radisson Hotel Group seeks to elevate Hoi An to a new height
Ramzy Fenianos, Radisson Hotel Group chief development officer for Asia Pacific.

How are you viewing the prospect of the Radisson Blu Hoi An project?

Ramzy Fenianos: First of all, Vietnam is considered a key focus in our strategy for market expansion across the Asia-Pacific region.

Then it is the potential of the Vietnam tourism market. In 2018, the number of international visitors to Vietnam reached the highest level ever of 15.5 million, an increase of nearly 20 per cent on-year. It is expected that this number will continue to increase and break a new record in 2019.

Such growth in international visitors has been fueled by the rapid development of the tourism industry together with the upgrade of infrastructure, tourist attractions as well as the relaxation of Vietnam’s tourist visa scheme.

All of these have well combined with Vietnam’s natural resources and unique culture, including the long coastline, comfortable climate, rich cuisine and friendly people, making the nation an attractive destination among the other well-known spots in Asia and around the world.

Hoi An, meanwhile, boasts all of the most wonderful factors like being recognised by UNESCO as a world cultural heritage, nestled on the coastline with clean and beautiful beaches and surrounded with the most contemporary golf courses. The old town is indeed an ideal destination for all types of tourism.

As a result, after the opening of our Radisson Blu Phu Quoc last year, we have constantly looked for new opportunities for further expansion and reinforce our footprint in Vietnam via different projects in top tourist destinations.

Radisson Hotel Group is thus very delighted to partner with Bamboo Capital Group to bring the high-end Radisson Blu brand to the central coast of Vietnam.

What should we expect from the Radisson Blu Hoi An project upon its opening in 2021?

Ramzy Fenianos: The Radisson Blu Hoi An is blessed with many advantages such as being located on Ha My beach, just eight kilometres from Hoi An old town and 30 minutes away from Danang International Airport.

Our partner, Bamboo Capital Group, has created a masterpiece with 734 rooms, apartments and villas, woven into the landscape with the unique environmental-friendly features that belong to no other places but this very ancient land.

In addition, the Radisson Blu Hoi An also offers a number of restaurants serving authentic local and international cuisine, a pool bar, a water and recreation centre and many other extensive facilities. All of these will be underpinned by Radisson Blu’s signature ‘Yes I Can’ service philosophy.

This will not simply a resort in its own right, but also a large conference and entertainment centre that can attract not only individual customers but also businesses that come for conferences. We are thus very confident in our cooperation with Bamboo Capital Group in this very project.

What would make Radisson Blu Hoi An’s services different from others?

Ramzy Fenianos: As we are currently operating the Radisson Blu Phu Quoc, and taking into account our 75 years of industry experience, we are confident enough to bring the most intuitive service to our customers. Our goal is to always preserve the primitive beauty of the place we arrive.

For Hoi An in this case, our goal is to preserve the quintessential beauty of this old town. At the same time, we will take our initiative to power Hoi An to a new height with our world-class services – the signature services offered by a global hospitability company like us and the Radisson Blu Hoi An in particular.

Would Radisson Hotel Group have any specific plan to optimise the Radisson Blu Hoi An’s performance in the coming time?

Ramzy Fenianos: Radisson Hotel Group is one of the world’s largest hotel groups with seven distinctive hotel brands, and more than 1,400 hotels in operation and under development around the world.

We thus have a Radisson Rewards programme across our network that delivers unique and personalised ways to create memorable experience to our guests. Radisson Rewards offers exceptional loyalty benefits for our guests, meeting planners, travel agents and business partners.

Apart from the Radisson Blu Hoi An, is there any other project that you are working on with Bamboo Capital?

Ramzy Fenianos: We plan to collaborate with Bamboo Capital on some other projects, which could be in Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City.
