The high quality VietGAP-certified vegetable brand, La Lanh, has officially launched at Big C supermarket in Quy Nhon on July 6.
As local suppliers protested against Big C Vietnam’s suspended purchasing activities of soft-line products on July 3, the supermarket chain has now decided to renew orders from 50 local garment manufacturers.
After changing ownership, the operation of Big C in Vietnam is not very optimistic, especially with the decline in business result of Big C Thang Long, one of the largest Big C in Vietnam.
In addition to their attempts, Vietnamese enterprises need support from agricultural extension centers and export support centers in providing market and legal information as well as packaging design guidelines, said Nguyen Thai Dung.
Despite attracting a large number of customers, private label products will not be displayed in Big C’s supermarkets anymore to pave way for Thai goods.
