In the memory of Nguyen Thi Son, founder of SonKim Land, Uncle Khai, Phan Van Khai, is a prime minister of the Vietnamese people, for the Vietnamese people and he is respected by the people forever.

After the fourth Central Conference, Phan Van Khai held the first dialogues with Vietnam entrepreneurs, mainly private enterprises, through three meetings held in three places including Hanoi, HCMC and Danang.

Phan Van Khai announced the solidified establishment of relations between the Vietnam government and enterprises, that satisfied with the general requirements of development country.

According to a economic expert Pham Chi Lan, the reform of economic institutions, especially for the development of the private sector fostered by former Prime Minister Phan Van Khai, produced positive results in socio-economic development of the government chaired by him.

Being well-trained in economic management at Plekhanov University in the former Soviet Union and having practical experience in his working years in HCMC where private business sector developed most, former Prime Minister Phan Van Khai had a very differing view on the private economy compared to senior leaders at this time.

Pham Chi Lan said that Phan Van Khai was not dogmatic and not afraid. He understood the role of the private economy and sincerely wished to develop this sector.

Therefore, as soon as he came to work in central level in the early 1990s, former Prime Minister tried his best to put new ideas into the Vietnam Communist Party's resolutions and government policies on private economic development.

Nguyen Lam Vien, Chairman of the Vinamit’s Board, in a talk with TheLEADER said that "I still remember Phan Van Khai who signed the decree recognizing 13 October as the Vietnam Entrepreneurs Day. At this time, many businessmen burst into tears when they received an official recognition from Vietnam government".

That gave businessmen a chance of not being considered as traders who cheat lie on the people and that made businessmen respect Phan Van Khai.

Vietnam's Enterprise Law was enacted and adopted continuously in order to cope with the practical situation, which thanks to former Prime Minister Phan Van Khai.

Although it was difficult, it helped Vietnam enterprises have a new position and a series of open policies developed by the Prime Minister Phan Van Khai helped the companies have land and factories, which created the first generation of entrepreneurs and created a sustainable value for Vietnam later.

That is the right way to get rich until now.
