Vingroup surprisingly unveils its $132 million production project of smartphone Vsmart
Vsmart plant will be built at VinFast auto manufacturing complex in the Hai Phong's Dinh Vu – Cat Hai economic zone.
Vingroup just officially announced its production plan of electronic equipment, starting with the smartphone Vsmart.
In the strategy of expanding industrial production sector, after VinFast automobile manufacture project, Vingroup has set up VinSmart with the chartered capital of $132 million.
VinSmart company will operate in two main areas. The first is the production of smart electronics starting with the production of smartphone branded Vsmart. The second is artificial intelligence (AI) research, experiment and applications as well as automation and new generation materials.
Vsmart plant with international standards will be built at VinFast auto manufacturing complex in the Hai Phong's Dinh Vu – Cat Hai economic zone.
In terms of technology, Vingroup is working with the world's leading consulting firms to hire design consultants, seek qualified professionals, acquire design licenses for smartphone components. At the same time, it is also buying production line and equipment for telephone production.
The cooperation with leading partners will ensure that Vsmart smartphone manufacturing process is equipped with the most modern and advanced technology to optimize efficiency and ensure product quality.
In the second field, VinSmart will set up centres for research, experiment and application of AI, automation and new generation materials. It will actively study and buy patent rights to experiment in Vietnam and then, maybe bring these innovations into production and life.
Vingroup Vice President and General Director Nguyen Viet Quang said that: "We want to strongly invest in research and application of new technologies and techniques to contribute to promote the appearance of Vietnam on the map of technology in the world".
