Vingroup encroaches upon pharmaceutical sector by $96.8 million investment project

In addition to the purpose of researching, producing, trading, importing and exporting pharmaceutical products, Vinfa will focus on preserving and developing traditional remedies originated from valuable herbal medicines of Vietnam.
It is expected that Vinfa Drug Research and Production Center will be completed and put into operation in the third quarter of 2018.
Vingroup recently established Vinfa Joint Stock Company in the field of pharmaceutical sector and it also invested in the construction of "Vinfa Drug Research and Production Center" project in Gia Binh district, Bac Ninh province.
The project has total investment capital of $96.8 million and there are nearly ten hectares in phase 1. This project is set up based on international standards with research, production, logistic and auxiliary facilities.
Vingroup said that the entire production process of Vinfa will be equipped with the latest and modern technology to optimize efficiency and ensure the quality of products.
The objective of the Vinfa Drug Research and Production Center is to produce and trade eastern and western medicines with good quality sold in domestic market and toward to be exported.
Vingroup also said that Vinfa especially invested in the research, development and preservation of remedies derived from valuable herbal medicines of Vietnam and it aims to export traditional medicine quintessence to the world market in the furture.
Vinfa will also focus on the areas of health food production, vaccines and medical equipment with international quality standards in order to meet the needs of health care and treatment.
In addition to exploit the valuable resources of Vietnam, Vinfa will also promote cooperation with prestigious partners from the world's famous pharmaceutical production places such as the US, Europe and Australia for advice, technology transfer as well as raw materials and products import.
According to the announcement of Vingroup, the entire process of operation and quality control of Vinfa ensures the compliance with international standards with three core criteria including best quality products, highly qualified staffs and profession.
"Through Vinfa, we would like to research, produce, import and export the best quality products as well as preserve and develop valuable herbal medicines and traditional eastern remedies," said Phan Thu Huong, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors.
It is expected that Vinfa Drug Research and Production Center will start construction in the third quarter of 2018.
