VinFast's first electric motorbikes set to be rolled out late this year promise to bring a breakthrough to the domestic electric motorbike market.
According to the latest announcement of VinFast Manufacturing and Trading Co., Ltd. a subsidiary of Vingroup, from July 16 to August 30, 2018, the company is recruiting authorized agents to sell its electric motorbikes nationwide.
Businesses who wish to become VinFast’s authorized dealers have to satisfy conditions on location, shop space and relevant experience. For instance, locations must be on main roads or streets. Shops must have a minimum area of 200 square metres and facades of at least 10 metres in width.
The recruitment of authorized dealers for selling electric motorbikes is part of VinFast's nationwide distribution channel plan, aiming to market its first products by the end of 2018.
Once becoming authorized dealers of VinFast, businesses will be invested in accordance with five-star brand identity standards, bringing the synchronized and high-level experience to customers.
VinFast expects to cooperate with qualified businesses in the field of trading motorbike in Vietnam, as well as offer opportunities to business to develop and expand.
In September 2017, VinFast kicked off its automobile manufacturing factory project including an automobile and motorbike manufacturing complex, training and research centre.
Vinfast’s factory complex has the capacity design of manufacturing 250,000 cars and 500,000 electric motorbikes and cars a year. The firm targets to export cars in the period from 2020 to 2025.
VinFast’s goal is to become the leading automobile manufacturer in Southeast Asia with pivotal products using internal combustion engines, electric engines and environment-friendly electric motors.
It is expected that the VinFast will introduce its electric motorbikes in September 2018 and the first VinFast-branded automobiles including electric cars and gasoline cars by 2019 to 2020.
