The signing ceremony between Nutifood and Delori

On January 18, Nutifood and Delori, a company from the U.S signed an agreement on distributing Pedia Plus milk product in more than 300 supermarkets in California, the US.

It is expected that Nutifood’s revenue in the first year of joining the U.S. market is about US$20 million. Delori is also striving to negotiate with related parties in order to distribute Pedia Plus product to the supermarket system in the U.S.

If everything follows its track, the annual revenue of Nutifood gaining from American market will increase to US$100 million after next five years.

Pedia Plus product has been developed by Nutifood's nutrition experts as a nutritional solution for children with anorexia, sick and slow-growing symptoms.

“It took us almost one year to negotiate with Delori to reach this agreement. We must also work with US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for certification,” said Tran Thanh Hai, chairman of Nutifood’s Board of Directors.

Hai said that FDA has visited Nutifood’s plants for a number of times and taken the careful and thorough test with strict requirements.

Jaime Brown, representative of Delori acknowledged that the special milk for anorexia is growing in the U.S market. When trying Pedia Plus products, consumers showed a positive response.

“The year 2018 marks the beginning of a successful launch of Nutifood's first nutritional products into the US market, opening the door to potential growth. Delori's future strategy is to bring more NutiFood products to the U.S market,” said Jaime Brown.

Deputy head of the Trade Promotion Agency under the Ministry of Industry and Trade Ta Hoang Linh highly appreciates the development direction of Nutifood. This is also seen as a firm foundation for other Vietnamese enterprises to invest, export and seek for opportunities on the global market.
