MoF issues official statement on 60 real-estate projects inspection proposal

TheLEADERAt “Prime Minister with Enterprises” meeting conference held recently, Vietnam Minister of Finance Dinh Tien Dung issued the official statement about the temporary suspension and inspection of 60 real estate projects, which had previously been a controversial topic.

According to Minister Dinh Tien Dung, following the guidance of PM and numerous related decrees, Ministry of Finance had made thorough evaluation and proposed to PM on these issues:

Firstly, according to 2017 inspection plan, Government Inspectorate would start scrutinizing into real-estate projects which had indication of misuse and violation against land law. Therefore, the Minister suggested Government Inspectorate should be authorized to include these 62 projects in their inspection list.

The Ministry also proposed that PM should task the local authorities to temporarily suspend the construction of high-rise projects which had shown the malpractice in land use right or skipping of the auction process. The violated projects should be listed and submitted to PM.

Additionally, Vietnam Minister of Finance Dinh Tien Dung pledged his total support for enterprises, and called for their initiatives in reform to improve the competitive ability and sustainable development. The ministry also insisted that enterprises and firms should adhere to the regulations of tax and customs duties; therefore, the commercial environment of the country will be more robust, which helps gain advantages for the national economy on the global scale.
