Hanoi: 10 more projects fail to meet fire-safety regulations

Hanoi Fire Fighting and Prevention Police in coordination with Vietnam Fire Prevention and Control, Rescue and Salvage Police Department (C66), has recently conducted fire safety inspections at 10 projects and high-rise construction sites, whose designs had previously been examined and approved by C66. The inspection was carried out on almost all the districts in Hanoi.

On close examination, the inspection team found that 10 mentioned projects had finished construction but remained numerous fire-safety related problems, such as the pressurised escape routes, fire-spreading prevention measures, fire prevention and fighting system, smoke venting system. 

Therefore, these sites were under-qualified and could not receive the inspection certificate to operate. The Police Department of Fire Fighting and Prevention of Hanoi tasked the investors to promptly resolve the problems and insisted that the projects should not be operated until further inspection.
