Desert Harbour Tourism, a Dubai-based destination management company founded by Vietnamese entrepreneurs, has marked its eighth year in operation, having facilitated trips for more than 20,000 visitors, with over 70 per cent coming from Vietnam.
Established in 2016, the company specializes in providing travel services across the UAE and the Middle East. Its client base includes Vietnamese tour operators as well as international travelers. Desert Harbour attributes its success to a Vietnamese-led management team offering 24/7 support and strong local partnerships, which ensure seamless experiences for customers.
“We handle around 600 visitors monthly and organize groups of up to 2,000 participants,” said Nguyen Thi Viet Binh, CEO of Desert Harbour Tourism. “Our connections with airlines and local service providers are key to smooth operations.”
Dubai’s allure, featuring skyscrapers, luxury experiences, and desert adventures, has made it a favored destination for Vietnamese tourists. Peak travel periods are typically March, April, August and November. To cater to its clientele, Desert Harbour has customized local dining options to suit Vietnamese palates and offers guides trained in local culture and history.
The company has also capitalized on the rising demand for luxury services, including golf and yacht tours spanning multiple Middle Eastern destinations. During the 2022 FIFA World Cup, Desert Harbour brought over 400 visitors to Dubai, with some opting for VIP packages worth over VND2 billion ($80,000).
In addition to leisure tourism, Desert Harbour supports Vietnamese businesses attending trade fairs in Dubai, such as those in technology, food, and pharmaceuticals. The company has also been entrusted by the Vietnamese Embassy in the UAE to assist business delegations exploring market opportunities.
To better serve its growing client base, Desert Harbour has expanded with offices in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and the UK. The company aims to solidify its position as a leading inbound service provider in Dubai, with plans to attract more international travelers alongside its core Vietnamese market.
