Uber agrees to pay $2.4 million tax arrears despite leaving

Netherland based Uber B.V Co., Ltd. has agreed to pay all of its tax arrears equivalent to the amount of $2.4 million to Ho Chi Minh City Department of Taxation after the ride hailing app left Vietnam.

Court suspends Uber lawsuit against Tax Department

The Ho Chi Minh City People’s Court has decided to suspend Uber B.V.’s lawsuit against the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Taxation, allowing the Tax Department to resume coercive enforcement measures to collect over VND53 billion (US$2.3 million) of Uber’s unpaid taxes.
