Nearly 73,000 newly established businesses registering capital of US$31 billion as of early 2017

According to Business Registration Agency, in the first seven months of 2017, there have been 72,953 newly established enterprises with the registered capital of VND690,738 billion.

Compared with the same period in 2016, the number of established enterprises increased by 13.8% and the registered capital increased by 39%.

Among the newly established businesses, 36% are operating in the wholesale, retail and auto repair industries (25,953).

The sectors blooming with newly established businesses included construction (9,609); manufacturing and processing industries (9.520); advertising consultancy (5,525)…

There are 2,706 newly established companies in the real estate sector with the total registered capital of VND175,777 billion, accounting for 25% of the total registered capital of all newly established enterprises from the beginning of the year.

Besides, 40% of the employees in newly established enterprises work in the processing and manufacturing industries.

Earlier, according to the General Statistics Office (GSO), there were 5,443 dissolved enterprises and 37,907 temporarily suspended enterprises (increasing by 21.8% over the same period of last year). 14,377 businesses stopped working for a definite period of time, while 23,530 were suspended for an indefinite period or were awaiting their dissolution.
