Vinacomin’s revenue attained US$3.38 billion

TheLEADERVietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Holding Corporation (Vinacomin) reported 24.2 million tons of coal consumption and 26.81 tons of production in the first 9 months of 2017.

Production of alumina and electricity reached 805,325 tons and 6.708 billion kWh, respectively.

The total revenue of Vinacomin, which is Vietnam state owned mining company, is estimated at VND76,693 billion (equivalent to US$3.38 billion).

The firm reported a large increase in aluminum production. Coal output exploited by machine reached 1.95 million tons, equaling 68.5 per cent of annual plan, a 225 per cent year-on-year increase.

In the fourth quarter, Vinacomin sets targets of exploiting 8 million tons of raw coal (the whole year’s plan of 35 million tons) and producing 340,000 tons of aluminum and 2.7 billion kWh of electricity (the whole year’s plan of 1.1 million tons and 9.3 billion kWh, respectively),…

Dang Thanh Hai, Vinacomin’s General Director saidthe firm’s achievements in the first 9 months of 2017 stemmed from proactive managementfrom Vinacomin and its subsidiaries aswell as application of new technologies.
