The 14th National Assembly’s fourth session to discuss debated laws

TheLEADERThe fourth session of the 14th National Assembly started on October 23 will discuss contents that are important to Vietnam’s socio-economic development.

On the first working day of the fourth session, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc presented the report on the implementation of the 2017 socio-economic development plan and the plan for 2018. Also, Minister of Finance Dinh Tien Dung presented the report on the results of the implementation of the state budget in 2017 as well as the budget allocation plan for 2018.

At the fourth session, the National Assembly will consider to approve six bills, 12 draft resolutions and give comments on nine other bills. There are many draft laws that attract much attention of congress persons such as the amended Law on Public Debt Management, amended Law on Forest Protection and Development, Planning Law, amended National Defense Law, amended Law on Anti-corruption and Law on Special Administrative-Economic Zones.

There are also some notable resolutions among those which will be considered for approval, such as the Resolution on the project on land revocation, compensation, and support for the resettlement of affected local residents, which is an individual component of the Long Thanh International Airport project; the Resolution on the investment policy to construct some highways on the North-South Expressway.

In addition, the National Assembly will discuss the government’s report on the prevention and combat of crimes and other law violations as well as the execution of judgments and corruption prevention in 2017.

11 out of 26 working days will be broadcast live so that citizens nationwide can follow the concerned contents like anti-corruption in 2017 and the settlement of complaints and denunciations of citizens.
