TheLEADERIn the official documents, the Hanoi Transport Department confirms that it would consider the form of treatment if the situation of hanging protestation banners against Grab and Uber recurs.

According to the representative of the Hanoi Transport Department, after receiving a report on the taxi's banners showing the protestation against Decision No.24 /QD-BGTVT, it sent official documents to business units transporting passengers by taxi in order to require them to remove the banners.

Hanoi Transportation Department also requested enterprises to propagate and train drivers do not gather in public places that caused loss of security and traffic safety.

However, after the official documents were sent, there were still some taxi cabs that did not remove the banners. The traffic industry is considering that whether these banners violated listing regulations.

According to Decision No.24 /QD-BGTVT, Uber, Grab are in the pilot phase of the Ministry of Transport but some traditional taxi companies did not agree on this.

When the pilot stage is finished, the Ministry of Transport will introduce specific management regulations to ensure fairness with other types of transport including traditional taxis.

Hanoi Transport Department said that in order to compete with Uber or Grab, traditional taxis need to improve their technology to meet the requirements of customers.

Moreover, at the meeting with leader of Vinasun taxi company, HCMC Department of Transportation asked it to quickly remove the banners against Grab and Uber.
