Four Vietnam's universities in the top three per cent of the best universities in Asia

TheLEADERWith nearly 12,000 Asian universities being ranked by Quacquarelli Symonds, there are four Vietnamese representatives appearing in the top 350 that means top three per cent of the best universities in the region.

Vietnam National University is the best university in Vietnam based on QS Ranking.

According to QS World University Rankings which is one of the most prestigious ranks in the world, four representatives from Vietnam are Vietnam National University (139), Vietnam National University - Ho Chi Minh City (142), Hanoi University of Science and Technology (291-300) and Can Tho University (301-350).

In addition, in 2017, Vietnam also has Hue University in the list of QS ranking which is in the group from 351 to 400.

Compared to last year, these universities are still in the list of Asian best universities but there is a change in rank.

Vietnam National University still ranked 139th by region and is the best university by nation. Vietnam National University - Ho Chi Minh City improved five places and is still the second best school in Vietnam after one year.

Hanoi University of Science and Technology is the best school in improving its position when ranked in 291-300 group compared with 301-350 group last year.

Among the best schools in Asia, Singapore has two top representatives which are Nanyang Technological University and National University of Singapore, which showed that Singapore continues to be one of the nation's best quality universities in the region.

QS Rankings are on a 100-point scale which is based on a number of indicators such as academic reputation, employer reputation, faculty student, faculty staff with Ph.D, international faculty and inbound/outbound exchange.
