Breaking ground for AEON Mall Ha Dong
AEON Mall Ha Dong is constructed on the land previously planned for an international hospital.

The project has a total land area of about 9.8 hectares, with the gross floor area of about 150,000 square metres, including an underground parking area. The total area for business is about 74,000 square metres.

AEON Mall Ha Dong, which will have AEON supermarket and department store with about 200 booths, entertainment services, is expected to be operational by the end of 2019. The parking lot of the mall can accommodate 2,100 cars and 9,000 motorbikes.

The joint venture between Hoa Binh Construction Corporation and Kajima Corporation will be the general contractor designing and constructing the project worth VND2,053 billion (roughly US$90.4 million).

AEON Mall Ha Dong is located on the 16.7-hectare campus of Ha Dong International Hospital project invested by BIM Group. In the mid of last year, Hanoi People's Committee approved the adjustment of the plan for the Ha Dong International Hospital project, converting a land area of 9.5 hectares into a commercial centre.

Currently, AEON Mall has put two centres in Ho Chi Minh City, two centres in Binh Duong province and Hanoi into operation.

Last September, AEON Mall Vietnam signed a memorandum of understanding with the Hai Phong Tourism and Trade Promotion Centre to build a commercial centre on 9.3 hectares of land in Ho Sen – Cau Rao 2 road, Le Chan district.

The project has an estimated investment capital of US$180 million and is expected to be AEON Mall’s sixth largest commercial centre in Vietnam by 2020.
