Founded in July 2007, VACD set their own targets as follows: sharpen management skills for corporate leaders; create a forum for sharing local and global business management experience; protect legal rights and benefits of enterprises; and propose appropriate adjustments to State’s policies on business management.

Over the last 10 years, VACD has organized various, creative and practical events for members and remarkably contributed to enterprise administration. More specifically, about 50 consulting conferences and discussions on government policies have been held.

Numerous official motions and consultation documents on Law on Investment and Enterprise Law have been sent to related agencies of the Party, State and National Assembly. Nearly 900 training courses on specialised aspects (start-up, law, finance, human resources, sales,…) have been organized with about 20-100 members per class.

“Leaders’ Café” and “Bizlunch” events have been regularly held in both Northern and Southern parts of Vietnam to create a knowledge-sharing forum for members.

Since 2014, the Central Committee of VACD has held an annual event named “Connecting Business leaders for better administration”. Three clubs operating under the administration of VACD also have many practical activities such as: annual conferences by Chief Finance Officer club since 2008; 2 HR Summits by Vietnam Human Resources in 2015 and 2016; Marketing Camp 2016 by Chief Sales & Marketing Officer club… All these events were professionally organized with the presence of leading national and international experts, attracting hundreds of participants.

VACD have also signed numerous strategic deals with leading universities of Hanoi (Foreign Trade University, Banking Academy,…) to attract intellects, helping tackle the problems of enterprises and develop a skilled workforce for business administration.

In the last three years, up to 4 administration-themed events have been held almost every week.

Moreover, various charity events, which aim at assisting the disadvantaged in the society, have been organized and participated by the Members. With strong and direct actions, the Association have attracted nearly 2,000 members who are chair people, members of the executive board, general directors, corporation leaders, experts,… A strong network has been created to exchange management experience and fresh ideas, as well as inspire business leaders to overcome obstacles together.

According to Dr. Han Manh Tien – President of VACD, to integrate into the global economy, it is crucial to sharpen the competitive edge of corporations and the national economy. Hence, over the last years, VACD has focused on doing research and collecting experience from both local and multinational enterprises to frame a set of criteria and principles that is well adapted to business management in Vietnam.

Talking about the objective of VACD for the coming years, Dr. Han Manh Tien – President of VACD said, “In the future, VACD will continue its pursuit of mission and aspiration to improve the competitive ability for Vietnamese enterprises in the context of globalization.”

Notably, VACD would focus on framing a set of criteria and regulations on administration of small and medium enterprises sector, which accounts for 99% enterprises burdened with management-related difficulty. Besides, VACD would also promote training activities for world-class business leaders. “They are critical elements that ensure the sustainable development for the enterprise community.”, said Mr. Tien.

In the near future, VACD are preparing for the scheduled publication of online newspaper TheLEADER and accelerating the licensing process of an Award dedicated to exemplary business leaders.

TheLEADER should set the goal to be a administration-related information and knowledge source for business leaders; to create a forum for sharing local and global business management experience; and to contribute to the improvement of business management skills and governance.
